Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Who We Are

Transworld Adventures Ltd. ("Transworld Adventures", "we", "us", "our") is a travel design and safari operating company registered in Kenya. We are the data controller of the personal information collected through this website, our enquiry forms, email, phone, WhatsApp, and any booking correspondence.

2. Information We Collect

To design and operate your safari we may collect:

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Lawful Basis

We process your information on the basis of (a) the contract between us to deliver the safari you have booked, (b) our legitimate interests in operating a safe and professional travel business, (c) your consent where consent is required (for example, for marketing emails), and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who We Share With

Your personal information is only shared with the people and organisations that need it to deliver your trip:

We never sell your personal information. All partners are expected to maintain confidentiality and handle data responsibly.

6. International Transfers

Because East African safaris typically involve cross-border arrangements (flights, cross-border game reserves, international banking), your information may be transferred outside Kenya. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by contractual or legal safeguards.

7. How Long We Keep It

We retain booking and financial records for the period required by Kenyan tax and corporate law (typically 7 years). Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent. Enquiries that do not progress to a booking are retained for up to 24 months before being archived or deleted.

8. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Our website submissions are transmitted over HTTPS, access to client files is limited to team members who need it, and sensitive data is handled through secure channels. No online transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure, so please use discretion when sending sensitive details.

9. Cookies

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies. These are limited to what is needed for the site to work properly, to keep forms secure, and to remember basic preferences during your visit. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You may block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; some non-essential features may not work as expected if you do.

10. Website Analytics

Separately from cookies, we use third-party tools (for example, basic analytics and form handling through Netlify) to see which pages are useful and how the site is performing. This information is reviewed in aggregate — such as page views, referring sites, and general location — and is not used to identify you personally.

11. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019), you have the right to:

12. Children

Our safaris are offered to families and do include guests under the age of 18. Information about child travellers is supplied by the responsible parent or guardian, who confirms authority to share it. We do not knowingly market directly to children.

13. Updates to This Policy

We review this policy periodically and will update the "Last updated" date above whenever material changes are made. Significant changes that affect existing clients will be communicated directly by email.
